Tom Heaton

Biography

After starting his career in the Manchester United Academy, Tom Heaton rejoined his boyhood club in the summer of 2021. Becoming one of a select group of United players to enjoy two spells in M16, he admitted to enjoying "an incredible feeling" upon making the decision to return to Old Trafford. Heaton made his long-awaited first-team debut in December 2021, in a Champions League group-stage game against Young Boys of Bern. He replaced Dean Henderson in the 68th minute, ending a 20-year wait for a senior Manchester United appearance. Tom continues to be a valuable part of our talented goalkeepers' union and signed a new contract in June 2025.
